The marine-grade tank in the Pitco SSPG14 pasta cooker can hold 12 gallons of water for cooking fettucine, macaroni, and other popular pasta types. So it doesn't splash out onto the floor, the tank overflow contains water, and a 1¹⁄₄-inch drain eases emptying after use. To store frequently used recipes, the temperature controls come with four buttons, and when pasta is done cooking, an alarm will chime to alert users.

The Pitco SSPG14 pasta cooker has two different modes: boil and simmer. If the temperature in the unit reaches the upper safety limit, it will shut off automatically to prevent component damage. Although the burners are self-cleaning, this unit comes with a clean-out rod for use in the drain and a sample-sized packet of cleaner. Its 4-inch legs can be adjusted to a preferred height, and to withstand high-volume use, the exterior of the pasta maker is made of resilient stainless steel.
